2012 project.
I LIKE HP Lovecraft. I've liked his weird fiction for ages. One of my favorite stories of his is "The Haunter of the Dark." Though we never really get to see the creature (he only ever HINTS at how horrible things are, and I find his verbose prose terribly amusing), he gives us just enough information to let our imaginations go wild.
My own rendition of the fellow with the three-lobed burning eye is inspired, to some extent, by a picture of the Haunter by Nick Smith in the original Call of Cthulhu Creature Companion game book. However, I gave my Haunter more tentacles and a whole lotta teeth. I like teeth.
