The dragon had his fun at the wolf's expense. Chained up deep in his cave, the poor thing was helpless as the dragon licked over his whole body, enjoying his flavour and teasing the little guy over his helplessness. The wolf, for the most part, stuck to hanging there.
(I know, you want to shoot me for the awful pun the pun. Worth it. ^^)

Dragons did love to kidnap princesses. Who's to say they didn't kidnap more peasants too? I bet everyone just cared about the princesses and forgot about all the other youths taken away.
And he does seem to have experience. What's he gonna do with them? Ransoms take time to arrive, just eating them would be too much work for nothing, what with cows around. Listening to princesses play the harp for a whole day stops being fun soon....
So I propose they employed... alternative methods to pass the time.

Slave ideas are usually fantastic. And only if he disobeys? That should be if he obeys. Spends the day doing hard work, cleaning the whole cave and every single one of the dragon's gold coins, sweating up buckets.... what better time to give him a thorough licking? ^.=.^
I'm sure there are better punishments for when he's a bad wolfie.
