Long ago there was a small village, that stood on the land between two rival clans. The village didn't belong to either one of the two and it was too small to defend for itself. Some of the villagers feared that they'd all die in the war, others hoped that one of the clans would claim the village themselves and protect everyone who lived in it.

People were too scared to escape from the village and moving at night was dangerous, but the fields most of the villagers worked on was far away. Without a horse you couldn't get back to the village before it became dark. One night a man and few of the villages children were walking back to their home, it was his job to see that they'd get there safely. Just before they got to the village a group of bandits stopped them and demanded everything they had. The man told that they had nothing and begged for the bandits not to hurt the children. That was when one of the bandits had enough stabbed the man in the chest, while rest of them hunted the children down.

The mans soul couldn't rest knowing what had happened and so the gods gave him a chance to become a dragon, to protect and guide those who travel in the dark. The man accepted and so he was returned to the land of the living as a dragon. Four red feathers were on his chest, reminding him how he died.

Stories tell that when the dragon stepped into water the red feathers would color the water around him red.
Other stories tell that ghost of the children are still following him, hoping to find their way to their homes.


Ahahah so sorry for the long text, but I was up late drawing this and I came up with a story how this character came to be and I wanted to share it with you (I'm no means good at writing anything...). He still hasn't got a name tho'... Oh well.This is a design I got from Stitchy-Face/
