What kit's been working on!
Yeah.. idk if I ever posted any shots of this or not.. BUUUT here's one.. I'll prolly move this to scraps later but for now.. HERE IT IS! Fursuit progress. The head base and all the parts came from
dreamvisioncreations I just assembled and added ears.. >.> had some issues along the way like.. e-6000 not holding the hinges on and such... the springs being dumb so I switched to elastic instead.. ALL SORTS OF FUN STUFF! I'm to the point of furring as you can see and.. yeah.. that is only one part of the ear.. haven't gotten the other part sewn on yet.. o.o I was gonna try to get this done by the 22nd but that ain't gonna happen it seems.. FFFFF- oh well.
now off to work on it more before work.. *thud*

Thing is I brought up about using hot glue to my dad (He's a srs crafter ) and he brought up the point that if you are wearing it on a really hot day.. the heat normally + body heat would possibly make the hot glue soft... D: So i'm trying not to use too much but.. failing horribly. only issue I had with the e-6000 was I was working on the base and one of the hinges just... popped off. >.o prolly put too much pressure or it didn't set right.. But it's fixed now so it's all good! :D
yeah e-6000 isnt strong enough for resin stuff sadly..hmm weird never had issues with hot glue from glue guns getting soft ^.^ i know for foam to foam work e-6000 is freaking awesome!
(makes foam work alot-i do )
but yeah with resin you scratch the surface area (probly would work for e-6000 maybe ) so it makes some scratches to hold the glue/ect better and it makes it SUPER durable, same goes for placing in the upper and lower teeth if you did resin for those too^.^
hope that helps also DVD does that method as well-sratching the resin a bit then glueing item down
