Reference sheet I started like two years ago and never finished. Character is Rhade, who I never draw ever. He’s supposed to be in my comic that I never started, so if I do start, he’ll be there.

Rhade’s story is an exercise in fate theories and divine intervention. In short form:
-He was trying to figure things out with his life and what he wanted to do
-was invited to join [whatever passes for basketball] teams, since he’s so ruddy tall
-his homeworld was scheduled to be destroyed to make way for a hyperspace bypass by the deity Catastrophe, since the world was unstable
-a couple days before he WOULD have discovered a talent for music/sound, he gained status as Catastrophe’s herald, the black markings appeared, and became destined to one day destroy his world through sound somehow [Catastrophe allows for a lot of flexibility when it comes to destinies]
-a lesser dark god piggybacked on the process, altering things like Rhade’s charisma, social presence, etc, just enough that on top of the sudden appearance of the tattoos, Rhade’s everyday life became unstable enough that he made the decision to move dimensions
-the changes to his person steered him into the wrong people, and his corrupted fateline did the rest, and eventually became involved in the underground, amid spies and assassins
-was trained on a desert world as an assassin/messenger, though he didn’t take to the morality, and hasn’t killed anyone
-realized he was on the wrong path, and attempted to get back to civilization where he might be able to straighten himself out, though he is still hunted by clansmen for his disloyalty
-he still doesn’t recognize his talent with music/sound, and is still unknowingly fated to destroy whatever dimension he resides in at the time
