Enrichment time at the LA zoo! A little perfume on the trunk of the tree, and the Gray wolves (Canis lupus) are all over it, checking out who has been in their territory!

There were actually meat snacks in the bag. They were placed in the enclosure, and the wolves would rip into the bag to get them. It's another form of enrichment.

Hehe, yeah, they don't leave trash like that in the exhibits. Just until the wolves have found all the enrichment items.

That he does, he has black on his face as well, though you can't see it with his nose buried in the tree. :3
