Some ghost types mingle freely in the world of mortals, living among them and coming to know their unique customs and mannerisms. Some others, typically the more traditional ones, keep to themselves, never entering the mortal realm. They hold fast to the traditions of the ghost realm, only associate with their own, and consider the mortal world naught but a passing fancy.
Lydia Specter's family has always been one of the latter. Never dealing with the affairs of mortals, they kept themselves happily secluded within the realm and hierarchy of the ghosts. Her parents, however, felt that it was time for this to change. The wonders of the mortal world began to find their way to their spectral ears, though it was difficult to discern fact from fiction, much in the same way that mortals are often confused about the ways of ghosts.
To this end they decided to send their gastly daughter out into the world of mortals, to learn their ways and what it meant to be one of them. After visiting several schools in the mortal realm, they settled on the prestigious Poke-Combat Academy of Higher Learning, whose reputation had extended even into their realm.
During an orientation tour of the campus Lydia met up with fellow incoming freshman Antoine Voltaire, younger brother of current academy standout Sherilyn Voltaire. After getting to know each other while their parents dealt with the administration, the two agreed to start up a team when they began at the academy in the following year. Antoine named the team Azure in recognition of his older sister's team.
Having grown up entirely in the ghost realms, Lydia knows next to nothing about the world of mortals, her knowledge limited to legends and rumors that have managed to reach the other side. However she has an abundant curiosity about the mortal world and takes undue excitement in the most mundane things. While her battling experience is not great, her curiosity and willingness to learn will no doubt carry her far once she does start attending classes.

Yeah, I agree, she so totally looks like Misa Amane from Death Note. I wonder if she has a similar personality to Misa as well. Her body language and facial expression sort of indicate a similar personality.
Either way, if you haven't watched Death Note, you need to take a moment to view an episode on https://www.AdultSwim.com/video . Right now its at the point in the series where Misa Aname enters the story, so you can decide for yourself how similar Lydia is to her.
Also, this time, I definitely know the answer to the question I usually ask regarding ghost characters, so there's no need for me to ask it.

Sorry, I meant are you guys graduating out senior characters in the immediate future?
Just asking since I remember you saying you still had a lot you still wanted to do with them, but I'm seeing people who look like they want the PCA's time progression to match the real world's.
