I Caught a Chimney Swift
Well uhh...more like my mom's fireplace caught the poor thing.
Lil dude overshot his nest and fell through the flue and couldn't get out.
He looks like a very angry toothless bird XD

It was my cousin's scarlet macaw. Well it was technically his dad's since we were kids. We were playing with him and everything was fine. He kept coming to me wanting to be pet, gave me feathers (and when my cousin tried to take the feather from him, he snatched it back and would only give it to me. it was hilarious), and was dancing and stuff.
I don't know what happened, maybe he got tired of us petting him, but I went from playing with my cousin in the back room to come back and pet the macaw, his name was George, and he came to me like he was going to be pet, lowered his head, and then flipped out and bit me super hard and wouldn't let go until my older cousin (my little cousin's mom) came and swatted at him (never hit him, just waved her hands around in a 'shooing' type of motion).
Then, when I was slightly older, my school had the zoo come and show us some animals and such. It was pretty cool. Until the handler thought it'd be neat to let one of the kids put on the bird gloves and try to hold up the owl he had. I raised my hand, still not really scared of birds at this point (I was scared of parrots because I thought that behavior was specific to them. I was really young) and I got picked. They put the glove on me and helped me hold the barn owl by holding my forearm because, of course, he was wayy to heavy for a child my age to hold on his own. While I'm holding him, the instructor is showing the kids his claws and I'm not sure what he did, but the Owl got mad and started flipping out and whipping his wings and getting in my face and i'm just flipping the hell out. They calm him, take him from me and try to calm me down and he does that neck swivel thing to look at me from the instructor's hand, something I had no idea owls could do, and that scared the living SHIT out of me worse than him flipping out.
So now I'm afraid of birds. lol
