I actually can say I relate to this. There was one ex of mine who I practically spoiled. I got her all kinds of gifts, money, attention, you name it! All seemed fine and dandy when all of the sudden she just...cuts me off to be with some punk rocker-looking dude. It blew my mind to smithereens, my friend. I had no idea what I did wrong! All of my friends were blown away by the incident as well, that she would suddenly just jump ship the way she did. Took me like....gosh I don't remember how long to get over her. Probably about as long as it's taking you now. By this point, I've gotten so far beyond it that I've even gone as far as to forgive her. It just takes time to heal...but it won't heal well if you pick at the scab either. You'll have to let go...which is not easy, lemmie tell ya....
Love is a very heavy emotion...it's always gonna hurt and be on your mind but the more you think about it the more it's just going to hurt...most I can tell you is talk and spend time with your friends that love you as hanging with them can surely get stuff like that off your mind for awhile. I'm always here if you need a hand~
