A Bad Day To Cos-play
... It looked like it was gonna be a good day today...
...So the young lass decided to wear her favorite outfit to school today, her beloved moogle suit.
Students giggled at her as she walked to school, but she didn't mind.
Her Algebra teacher gave her crap 'cause she couldn't hold her pencil right with her "paws".
Other girls made fun of her for not dressing like [a slut] the rest of 'em.
And then her friends made comments about it..... GEEZ!

The faculty would get PO'd. But people staring at you is not the time to get offended. It is what they do afterwards that counts.
In this situation the best approach would be to make yourself look the least threatening you can. No the fursuit won't cover it. People would get scared if you wore a fursuit to school because it would subconsciously remind them of all the bad things that they pretend can't happen to them. That is why people are afraid of things that are different.
Animals in the wild I do believe exhibit this same behavior.
And maybe even you.

True... I'm scared of doing and seeing different things.... 'cept for things that physically can't hurt you (I mean only physically... I really don't care about being weird in front of a crowd anymore or things that most would find humiliating ^^)
IF I COULD GET A SUIT OR A COSTUME (Still the only thing holding me back "$$$")... I totally would on some occasions have it at school!
The only opinion I'd be worried about is my father's. It sounds strange, but even though he doesn't care what I do for myself (as long as it isn't gonna hurt me because of my own stupidity ^^), I still don't wanna have to be under the same roof almost 24-hours, seven days a week, with someone I just "lost points" socially left.
I think I just wrote and drew how I felt that day combined with my views on unusual dress (since I wear full gloves an awful lot in public.... I get a lot of crap).
