The TRUE nutter butter (recipe)
I am experimenting with this butter concoction, but so far it is good after two variations. If you want to make it, this is what you do-it is peanut butter, but MUCH better if you want more nuts in the morning or at any time with jelly. I picked the name so it would differentiate from the snack food, Nutter Butter, which ONLY has peanut butter and peanut flavored cookies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutter_Butter
This recipe is simple!
True nutter butter
Recipe:
1/3 cups of the following:
Almonds
Pecans
peanut butter (Any-for this, I chose Skippy.)
1 Tbsp of honey
(Optional: 2 tsp or less of cinnamon)
Grind Almonds and Pecans to a fine chop in a blending device. (For this, I used the Nutri-Bullet with 4 blades.)
Then add the peanut butter to the ground nuts if the hopper you used can be used as a cup, otherwise pour the ground nuts in a cup with peanut butter.
If honey is not put in the peanut butter you are using, add it after all the nuts are in the cup. If you want cinnamon, add it too. For more taste, add less cinnamon, but it will taste better if you do heat the final product up.
Using a spoon, stir the ingredients up until it looks pasty or creamy. (Remember, if the nut butter hardens, you can warm it up in the microwave. It will bring out more of the cinnamon flavor. Also as you can see, it looks better -aesthetically on toast [above] than on untoasted bread.)
Serve and enjoy this tasty protein butter!
