i've never been their either, but i so totally love the shapes.
the whole area around it has become too built up with conventional shaped buildings.
i wish they could have zoned the whole area all the way around it to only have strange organic shapes.
(and little solar narrow gauge trains instead of cars and buses, because that's how i am too)
i also wish they hadn't had to start charging people money to get into see parts of it,
but of course even masonry and ceramics don't last for ever,
and i think part of that was so many people going there to see it,
may have been making too much wear and tear.
i just wish everyplace could be a little like that, and not just for rich people,
that gaudi had origeonally started building it as a kind of development for.
yup, i've made a couple of pictures based on it myself too.
i'd love to some day build a model of the whole thing as i would have built it,
but i doubt i ever will, either as a physical scale model or inside the computer.
there's maps and drawings and tons of photos to work from all over the net.
and then there are people in other parts of the world who at different times have built places a little like and a lot inspired by it.
if i'd have been born in a world and circumstances i could have, i would have been one of them.
