This illustrates a scene from Feeling Rather Horse during the second day of an unusual transformation - which unlike the smooth, steady progression she will become used to - is instead coming in hard lurches with a lot of change in a small time (seconds) followed by a few-hours respite period. Thanks to her use of a potion she purchased that she was told would undo the effects of the Curse she was under, having overlooked the fact that the Pendant's Curse on her is perpetual so once it wore off...
And Karen is that stubborn she's refusing to get down on four legs, knowing full well she's only slowing herself down and making it harder for her to reach any Azuchroma that might be in the area to reverse the effects of the Curse she's been inflicted with.
