A Dakota for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day
I heard a engine noise, when I'm exit for try to see what that was, I think I will see an ATR-42 but no! That was DC-3! I never see one in flight before. For people who don't know what is the DC-3, it's the originale and the civilian version of the famous C-47 Dakota or Skytrain, the aeroplane which bring up allies paratroops in all the world but they still famous for their intervention during the D-Day. They were also used by the VVS as Li-2 and by the Japanese Aviation as L2D. This one wear markings of the Swiss Airline and I think he go to the meeting of La Ferté-Alais (France, 7-8 june 2014), I'll have the confirmation tomorrow!
People who like aeroplanes and in particular the old one or the militaries, I'll post some photos of La Ferté-Alais monday.
