Hiccup and Toothless this time <3.

This is mostly a test, experimenting with brush settings in SAI for the first time ever. Seriously, i never in my life used anything else other than the Ink Pen (crisp, perfect outlines) and occasionally the air brush and rarely, the brush. Really, i never cared to experiment or anything, yet i was always jealous on that painterly effect other people had on their art, not to mention the less time it took, and it did look better. Sooooooooo today, i gave in and tried it myself. LOVE the results. No sketch used, no references used (except for the colors on Hiccup, i mistakenly made his pants brown lmfao). Usually i go slow, since i'm kinda a perfectionist, but i took an advice given to me a while ago (to let loose, and stop focusing on details) and man does it feel good. All of it is done by splashing around with a big brush on a dark blue background. It's somewhat inspired by the cover art of "The art of how to train your dragon".
