I've been long overdue for Balto fanart, although I figured the eventual first piece would be of Balto himself. It ended up being one of his devoted US Mail sled dog son. It's funny how life works out.

Truth be told, I actually like Kodi, but he was not as developed as I would have liked. Granted, I loved the moments where Balto and Kodi demonstrated genuine father/son bonding, but Wings of Change really didn't explore that narrative as much as it seemed to want to. In any case, I decided to recreate a particular shot of Kodi from the film in MS Paint while adding little touches here and there. It ended up becoming a bigger piece than usual, but I suppose that'll happen every now and then.
