So, this is one of the best pictures I have right now of my award winning piece submitted fir this year's student show up at my college. Didn't come in first, but hey, second ain't bad! :)
This piece was made of plaster on a foam and wire base with natural flora added on. It stood about 3'1/2" tall (5" with the branch-antlers) and weighed around 50lbs(?) I didn't weigh it myself, but it's lighter than it looks. The sculpture now resides in my grandmother's house and is in need of minor repair (her cats got curious and knocked it over)

Thank you ;u; it's some student work of mine. The project was to create a sculpture that could "live" in a certain environment.. I got this idea from a local park that is primarily marsh lands. I wanted to create a guardian spirit of sorts, so I decided on the figure of a stag, and manipulated the plaster and paint to make it appear as if it crawled out if the muddy banks of the ponds and creeks :)
thank you again sweetie! I'm glad you like it so much ;u;

Freaking awesome 8D Ive always wanted to sculpt xP Around the time when I started drawing digitally, but clay costs money and pffft. If I had started back then I might be good by now, but whatever xD I guess Ill just stick to one medium.

lol it's really fun to work with clay/ceramics also :) my dad recently showed me an article that shows you how to take natural clay, remove all the imperfections (rocks, sand, sticks ect) and how to fire it without a kiln :) if you're interested, i can dig up the article for you :3
