So I finally sat myself down and completed my Sika Deer sona, complete with name and everything! His name is Shinko, 信仰 in Kanji, and it means (religious) 'faith'.
This is because who I am is essentially bisected into:
-The half that is silly, unhealthy, manic and self-destructive, and more social, essentially gets along with everyone. (Jinkx)
-The half that is spiritual, reclusive, feral (in the 'wild' sense of the term), and is caught between constant rapturous awe of the natural world and fierce hatred of its ongoing destruction.
I felt like it was nearly impossible to express that second half of me through Jinkx, so I created Falla, the Fallow Deer. But Falla ended up being too feminine and too similar to Jinkx anyway, so I changed Falla to a doe with antlers, and then genderless with antlers, and then the color scheme was essentially the same as Jinkx's, and I wanted something darker with a sort of velvetty feeling... but Fallow Deer don't really get very dark, which brought me eventually to Sika Deer, that ended up working out a lot better anyway because they're a Japanese subspecies of deer and my spiritual faith is Shinto, a type of Japanese animism.
So here we have Shinko, ("sheen-ko") the androgynous Sika Deer. Antlers yes, genitals no, body type somewhere in between a yearling buck and a doe. Has male pronouns and hooves half in and half out of the spiritual plane. Regularly communes with gods and mythical beasts/spirits, but does not speak verbally (or telepathically for that matter). Spends a great deal of time just observing.
