Having spent the majority of the week in the house of some very religious relatives I felt the odd need to do a piece of devotional art for myself. Very few pictures of the Virgin Mary depict her in her pregnant state (at least I've not seen any) despite it being a rather logical way to depict her to my mind.

I apologise if anyone finds this furry depiction of a religious figure offensive, but I feel that depicting her in a guise that I think is beautiful and peaceful and true to her spirit is respectful and my own way of honouring her role.
