I had the urge to make a gray-tabby-like tail out of my ample scraps a while back, and gave it full silver guard hairs. It's thin wide, and about 24 inches in length.
The guard hairs are attached slightly differently than usual, with something I had tried in the past with success, and cannot be pulled out purposefully unless you are really trying to damage the tail. So that's cool, they're more permanent, but they do result in some under-hardness. The tail is only superficially soft. Although, yarn tails have bony cores naturally anyway.

If I can't get a buyer for the full amount by Tuesday, then sure : ) I'd just send it First Class instead of Priority Mail to make up for a little of the difference (they both come with tracking anyway and it only takes 1-2 days longer to arrive). With my schedule I wouldn't be able to mail it until after that day anyway so that is why I chose that day. Does that work for you?
That is absolutely fine. I really think it is definitely worth the original $80, and I felt bad offering less than the already discounted price. I'm a stay at home mom, so I would just feel really bad spending more than the budgeted "free money", even if it's just $10. Thank you for not being offended.
And ofcourse send it however you can to help recoup the loss!
