That, is 'XACTLY how I/We got our first turtle! Little male who'd been caught from the local lake, but *ESCAPEE'D* and was hauling his plastron down the middle of da road!

Many thousands of $$$ later, he was cured of the shell rot, pneumonia, and flukes, and had weaseled his scaley, red-eared self into our hearts...

So, we rescued THREE MOAR!

Nope, we never did learn!!!

Hope she does well (NO BATHTUB FOR A HABITAT!), and that once released, doesn't try to play in traffic again!

Thanks so much for bringing a chuckle, and that trip down memory lane for myself.

Gamera loves children. Thats the only thing I remember from the song. It never clarified if it was the children themselves or their flavor.
