Many swords are better used when blunt, and just lightly placing your fingers on the edge of the blade will most likely not cut you.

You want a cutting edge blade!

You can place your hand upon the blade of any sword, just as you could the blade of a razor. It's when you slide your hand across it that you have a problem. I think that what Delilittle is talking about is how larger swords aren't always used for slicing - they're also very good at crushing armor.

A sword is made for cutting/slicing or thrusting.
If it's blunt, it wont do anything well!

If you for some reason want to crush armor, you use a mace or similar tool!

If you sharpen a sword too often, it can brittle the edges, thin the metal and make it snap. So, many swords are left slightly blunt so that they are stronger. With a good thrust, it'll do just as much damage.

FYI he is wearing gloves that look like thick leather. If you can cut your fingers through that just by lightly touching the sword, then you're a new kind of stupid.

That^ hahaha. I wouldn't see anyone handling a sword in this manner unless they were wearing thick gloves. Plus the constant use would make one's hands full of horrible skin thingies [ i forgot how u call em]. But yea eeee /hug.

This is what I love about Dark Souls, the isolated journey. You always go on it alone. Sure you can summon people to help, but they never stay so you're always going at it alone again. Sometimes you just have to sit at the bonfire and stare off into the distance, whether canyon, forest, or an ancient city filled with demons, and marvel at the situation you're in. It's hard to imagine one tiny bonfire being a form of mental salvation, but it makes your journey easier in the long run. Looking at this piece, I can imagine myself sitting at that bonfire. I feel as if there should be a written piece on this picture alone.

Mmmm. I can relate to everything you said and I totally agree. Despite my very short experience with the game, the bonfires are a special spot and just sitting there you can pretty much feel yourself resting from the never ending journey. Sadly i'm not a poet or a writer so there isn't much I can do about the writing part haha, but I do love rping such peaceful moments in a few of my medieval RPs x3.
