I always wanted to try sushi but I don't know where to find it. Also, about what percentage of people have gotten sick from it?

It depends on where you go. I've never been ill, and I never heard of anybody getting sick from sushis prepared in real japanese restaurants, as the hygienic conditions are far more strict than anywhere else - not to mention the chiefs can prepare sushis only after following a VERY long study course - I mean if they are here, that's because they are really motivated by their work, it's not just for money. They choose themselves the fresh fishes early the morning, and all that has not been eaten the same evening go to the trash. No kidding with diseases from fishes.
Now if you go to a chinese (or anything eles) shop, nobody can guarantee you anything. Most are quite OK, but I have had myself a VERY bad experience in one, and two times (the only two times I went there). Some are really, really to be avoided. But you can usually see that immediatly by the look and the smell of the sushi pieces.

Cooked? You mean correctly prepared?

I do know this as it's been more than ten years I enjoy sushis !! ^^ ^^
