LOL je vois que le lampadaire est tujours dans le coin ^^ Oui, je sais qu'il y a un attachement personnel dessus ;)
Le détail qui tue : les écritures à la craie sur les supports noirs sont carrément hyper-réalistes...
Est-ce la photo qui a défraîchi, mais la personnalité de Bothan y est toujours vivace à travers ses yeux (ça fait très Twilight Zone, ça, j'aime...) ? Est-ce un souvenir reconstitué ??.....

Réponse très technique, cette craie est en fait un stylo blanc genre typp-ex que j'utilise pour les ciels étoilés entre autres. très pratique dès qu'il s'agit de faire quelques menus retouches très précises. Du coup, j'ai juste ecrit sur des fonds noirs à donner cette impression de craie <3
Et oui, j'aime bien ce lampadaire, il se trouve autant dans ma chambre comme bougeoir sous mes luminaires, que dans le salon, et quand il est allumé, ca donne de suite une ambiance fleutrée et intime, limite romantique. Quel dommage que ca n'est jamais partagé =P

L'idée du souvenir reconstitué est vraiment plaisante tu sais? =)

Moi qui suis aussi un rêveur nourri à la Quatrième Dimension, tes ambiances me donnent souvent grande matière à réflexions.....

C'est marrant, car quelque fois je me dis que l'ambiance est souvent maigre dans mes dessins, mais bon, que ne serait un artiste s'il n'était pas éternellement insatisfait de ses propres oeuvres?

great picture, and great atmosphere. the BG sky looks like there is a thunderstorm building up over the sea, it adds a hint of tension to it. almost like a scene from a James Bond movie or something.

which can only mean, Bothan's gonna be the next Bond girl. yay! :)

I like how her eyes are colored and everything else is greyscale.
Also I like her bikini, very nice.

I usually always color the eyes, whatever the pic isn't. And I would love to see such a bikini in the stores as well =)

Ya know, this particular piece of yours has me rather baffled. Usually, I'd think that this particular background could only improve with colouring of some sort, but... it would seem that the lack of colours make it all the more vivid. And the eyes, gawd, they stand out so well because of it.

I think I'll color the original lineart as well, since that's just a copy I colored in greyscale.

My word... she is just hawt as hell isn't she. She looks damn good in that two piece. I gotta say though, on top of the incredible looking Bothan you made here, I'm highly impressed with how the background came out. The wood paneling, the palm leaves, and that kick ass pineapple. You shaded and filled them in with great tones and a realistic look to them. This is really one for the Fav books.

I love greytones I have to admit. That's an old love I can't completely forget ^^

Par contre les nuances de gris donnent un peu l'impression d'une température pas très elevée. Surtout avec les cheuveux qui bougent dans le vent on a límpression qu'elle va bientot prendre froid..... Mais bon peut-erte que c'est juste moi. >_>
Et puis tu t'es deja justifié en n'ayant que 5 marqueurs alors c'est pas important. XD

Je n'arrive pas à concevoir la mer sans l'embrun qui nous fouette le visage XD J'ai toujours senti le vent sur la plage, et j'aime représenter le vent, qu'importe cette impression de fraicheur ^^

The scenery is composed really nice actually reminds me of a beach I where at when I visited the Canarian Islands l3
Which in other words is very good!

Alos I do find it fascinating that when everything is in a more similar coloring
and then comes that small touch of red. Which makes it very eyecatching and somehow do you want to take a closer look at the picture after seeing those eyes.

I'm also very impressed over how well you draw female bodies making them look natural by the way they stand/pose and how the anatomy really flows smoothly.

And yes I am a bit jealus but also very inspired of your work and how good you are^^
I hope that one day be able to pull of this sort of pictures but in my own style of course as I want to grow as an artist by doing it my way not copying anyone elses style.

Back to the time I only used pencils, I always add colors for the eyes, whatever the color they are. As you said, that's eyecatching and that's certainly why I always did that, and still do in fact.
