I should have posted more I guess, never really got around to it but yeah this is my chevy 216 engine from my 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe 6 passenger car. it is almost completely original, and by that I mean the hoses on the oil filter are new, the copper 5/16 od line that runs oil through the engine is new, the starter motor is new, and the exhaust/intake manifold is... well its not new, it just is not the same serial number as the car. I have the one from the car, it is in the same shape that this one is I just picked this one by accident.
ANYWAY, the pistons cylinders where slightly honed to accommodate the original pistons (because I didn't want to find new ones) and I did a ring job on them so they are brand new, aside from a slight rattle that I will always hear from the wear and tear of 60+years.
I do not have an air cleaner for it, I plan to buy one at hot August nights this year. I don't have the starter motor in these pictures because when these were taken I didn't have one but 90 bucks later and a ton of cussing breaking knuckles, now Its attached.
as of now I am ready to mount the clutch plate, clutch, and transmission. I already attached the flywheel which was a pain in the rear to do for some odd reason. I just need a new clutch because my old one was a little fried. soon enough it will be running. and I will be able to drive it to a junkyard if I get tired of it. lol
