I can't remember when exactly, but I do remember it being kinda buggy not too long ago. Or maybe you were trying to clear some stuff away, it didn't respond immediately, and so you ended up deleting a whole bunch more than you meant to.
... did that to Casey's saved games once. He lost like 30 hours of progress. FELT SO BAD (although I accidentally deleted my own, too, so at least it was "fair" :V)

Yeah, they're different. Dying is just, like, losing progress since your last save or whatever, so your mind is like, "That's annoying, oh well". Losing all your saved games is pretty much having to start over from the absolute very beginning x_x "So I'd have to do ALL that again? .... yeah, I think I'll do something else instead."
