An inhabitant of Australian open grasslands, the Black-Shouldered Kite is a specialized hunter, feeing almost exclusively on rodents. Their courtship dance takes place in flight, feeding one another mid-air and hooking talon to talon before releasing just before hitting the ground.

Graphically, this one stands out. It's dynamic in it's symmetry, and ti's high contrast creates shapes and forms that are easy to identify!
