"Yes, dad. Yea, last week. No. No, really, you don't-- Okay. Alright. Okay, love you too. Bye..." You sigh as you hear the other end of the line drop dead with a beep, and close your own cell phone, pushing it back into your pocket. Twenty years old. One hell of a birthday party, if you could say anything about it, too. Friends sure do know how to have fun.
The artificial light of the Pokémon center keeps your eyes trained on the obsessive contents in your tight backpack, practically filled to the brim with a good amount of supplies. You make sure to double check for the blow-up tent, and found it tucked happily at the bottom. "Alright, good. All set for the camp out," you sigh with a pleased nod.
You give a pleasant wave to the nurse at the front desk as you exit through the doors. It was always nice to get a fresh scent of nearby forest air, and this time you were certain that it would be a great night to camp. Every other night was either too cold, too rainy or too windy, but this was a perfect beginning-of-autumn night. The orange and purple medley of clouds was a perfect accent to the cooling air, the sun setting just underneath the treetops.
A nice jog distracted your mind from a few things. Lack of Pokémon wasn't always good, but it wasn't the worst thing ever, either. No pressure to go out into the world, or get gym badges. Or do good in competition... No upkeep, either, but, hey, you had to admit, some of your friends seemed like superb people when they went out with their Pokémon. Maybe you'd save up enough money to get one, or maybe old grandpappie could give away his old Snubbull, even if he was a little old, it would've been something.
Now you've got yourself thinking about how much fun you're missing out with a little Pokémon pet and buddy, and just about tripped yourself over an emerging tree root. "Ah, fuck," you spat, rubbing your face free of dirt. You began to pull yourself back up, before freezing, fear hitting you like a bag of rocks.
Purple scales shone underneath thin sunlight, along with a particularly shiny yellow gem of a scale. Your head followed the rather large serpentine body before you saw the head of what it belonged to. A Serviper, the long fangs hanging over it's scales, along with the stark red eyes. A single iris kept it's own stone-cold gaze against your own. "Oh... Shit..." you whispered, as it just slipped out of your mouth.
The Pokémon snorted out of it's nose, and seemed to ease up. It moved it's head to the side, closing it's eyes back up to rest. The sunlight shifted from the shadow, and showed a strange little bulge in the middle of it's length. It already had a meal, good. Slowly, to make sure it knew you weren't a threat, you picked yourself up and moved away. The last thing you saw as you passed through some brush was the idle flick of it's tongue as it enjoyed the subtle movements of it's latest meal.
"Hooh... Wow," you muttered, quickly getting back on your own trail. "Another moment where I was just lucky..." You shook your head to clear your thoughts, and caught yourself. Mid-trip, thankfully, you stopped just in time to kneel down before getting another face full of dirt. "Another one?" You huffed, investigating under the fading light. No bark this time, but it was unmistakably a backpack, like yours, with the sort of fabric it was. You noticed the broken straps, and eyes became wide with the realization. You turn your head back to where you came from and took a deep breath.
"Oh... Damn..." You muttered, picking up the backpack. "This...? Woah..." Now you absolutely knew you had to get a Pokémon. If stuff like that happened to those even with Pokémon, what would you be to one without? Of course, you saw the little red and white ball, and with a sense of curiosity overcoming you, you press in the button.
Your eyes were guided through the red light that zapped next to you, and instantly gasped. Fur and claws grasped your neck and pushed you to the ground within an instant, catching you off guard. The next two black claws stopped only inches from your face. The Zangoose paused, it's dilated eyes hinted that it realized you weren't what was expected and it soon withdrew it's self. Your shaky hands and heavy breath slowly went under and you returned back to your normal state, sitting yourself up.
This Pokémon seemed particularly beaten and cut, although the wounds had healed already, not enough to show that they were still rather bad. It held it's arm and kept it's head down, showing it was sorry. You watched the creature, and sighed, taking another moment before getting up. "Alright... Alright, hey, it's okay..." You whispered, holding out a hand. The creature looked up, and gently moved forth, taking your hand into it's now claw-less paws. "There, see? You didn't know any better, it's okay..." you murmured.
"Hey, uh... I don't think your owner will be coming back..." You murmured gently, bringing up your other hand to the creature's paw. It seemed surprised, and shocked, looking you at... At eye level... This creature was a big one. If not bigger than you, just about as big as you. Zangoose were only about four feet or so? Were you just short? No, those weren't the questions to ask at this time. You sigh, and nodded. "Yea. I'm sorry, but... Uh... I'm having a camp out right now, and... You can join me, then we can go back to the Pokémon Center together, yea?"
You paused, hearing a rumble within the Zangoose's tummy, and watched him nod. You let a small smile pass over you before you lead the Zangoose away, away from the Seviper and the point where he must have lost his master. "Yea, I figured. Come on this way, I'm going to cook up something nice for the both of us tonight."
Lucky thing you knew how to start up a campfire so quickly, this night might prove a bit cold before you sleep. You sat stoking the campfire with your new Pokémon friend sitting next to you, a small pot roasting with some nice food for both of you. You sat quietly, of course, without actual human company to keep and to talk to. "Um... I, uh... Know it won't be much," you stated, sitting up and stretching a little, facing the Zangoose that quiet watched the fire, occasionally stroking it's belly. "But it'll be something to sate you over for the night. I've had it a few times, and it can really fill you up, trust me! We'll get you something tomorrow, though. I won't let anything happen to you."
You rubbed the little creature's arm, and pulled it close to you, very gently. It didn't seem so high-strung, thankfully, and accepted the embrace, scooting a bit closer. You sigh, keeping the being close to you. Sitting down, it was about a few inches higher than you. This was a bit unnerving, as you've never been with very large Pokémon before, but you wouldn't just hide away. You couldn't this time, after all. To keep yourself comfortable, you rested your head on it's shoulders, continuing to gently rub the other side of his arm.
It seemed to just be so comforting, feeling the fur brush between your fingers. The Zangoose's tail gently curled around you, too, the fluffy bush pressing against your clothing for security. You didn't say anything. It would ruin the good silence, the crickets surrounding you, and the crackle of the dying fire. It was probably minutes before something snapped you out of your trance, and that was a gentle brush pressing against your forehead.
"Eh-what?" You stammered, pulling back for a moment, spotting the Zangoose with it's tongue halfway out of it's mouth! You stare for a second before chuckling and pressing your head back into position. You gently patted the beast's chest. "Oh, it's okay, you just startled me was all..." You mention, feeling the press of it's rough texture and bits of cool saliva rub against your forehead. You didn't know why, but this really soothed you, in the particularly weirdest ways...
You sigh, holding onto the Zangoose with a hand, scratching it's shoulder smoothly as it continued to gently and rhythmically lick your forehead. Such a nice, cooling way to calm down after such a... Surprise from earlier. Maybe this was just a way of him showing affection? It was common with a lot of creatures, and you rather enjoyed it. The soft breaths of air pushing on your head, the soft, luscious fur rubbing against your own exposed skin and arm. You barely noticed when everything seemed to get a bit hotter and moist... Those breaths just got bigger and... What was even going on?
You open your eyes, and froze up again. You saw a large, flat, pink tongue pressing up and against your chin, keeping your voice surprisingly silenced. Saliva gathered at the edges of dark red cheeks and against your own head. You tried to tug, only to feel the large maw of the creature keep you in cheek. You were... You were inside of the Zangoose's mouth! This was the exact kind of thing that you had feared with the Serperior. You didn't think this would happen with something just about the same size as you!
You use your hands, trying to push the maw away and up, but claws quickly kept you in check, too. The rough tongue brushed up against your mouth and nose, making you scrunch up your face. Panic and fear reached you quickly, and you struggled to get free in any kind of way. But before anything happened in your favor, you felt weight shift to your chest, pushing you down to the ground. You felt the world tilt and the ground soon hit your back and head. You had to get free, somehow! The Zangoose pulled it's self on top of your legs and midsection, essentially tying up your legs in the meanwhile, too.
The hot breaths continued to happily brush against your face, the tongue sweeping over you several times. You tried to beg for the Pokémon to stop, but with the tight compression, you couldn't even manage an inch to speak. You sat for a depressing amount of time of a few minutes with the same strokes and breaths before you felt a change of position. All you could hope for was that this was some kind of sick joke to him, and that he'd let you go. But that couldn't be anymore wrong.
The Pokémon picked it's self up, holding both of your wrists in one paw before wrapping another paw around your should and back. It was pushing you even further into it's mouth! While it was idle with stuffing it's face with you, you thought this was a good a time as any to struggle to get free. Already, you felt the tongue lick under your chin and further down your neck, the gathered saliva beginning to crawl it's way down your neck. You wriggled your hands from the Zangoose's paw, trying to get free, and muc hto your surprise, one hand slipped from it's grip!
Quickly, you guide your hands to the chest, and begin to push. It was only a second before you stopped, and backed off. Claws pressed against you neck, just above the collar bone, practically the only part of your neck still left that was outside. It slowly took your hands with both of it's furry paws once again, pressing them down to your side as it continued to pull you further down it's throat. Your face slowly lurched forward and pressed against the back of the creature's mouth. Something pushed and pulled you forth, sucking your face through a rather tight spot. You wriggle and struggle only briefly as the feeling compresses you in to all your sides.
Saliva now drenches the top of your clothing as the Zangoose practically stuffs it's face with you. It even seemed to enjoy it, especially with the little struggles you give. Before long, it has halfway down your arms into it's mouth. You begin to struggle weakly once again, before giving up. 'What's the point...' you think to yourself sadly. You think for a moment to start crying. What else do you have to live for now? You were destined to become a meal for a creature. And you showed compassion for this thing, too...
You growled deep down, before punching your feet forth, trying to do some damage to the beast. It didn't do a single thing, not a single damn thing. All that was good from it was for the beast's enjoyment, as it seemed to laugh at your pathetic squirming. You felt another kind of pressure press against your head and rub in a circle. It's paws gently touched you through it's fur and inside fat, like it was trying to reassure you everything would be alright. But it wouldn't.
That tongue of his continued to work around your own appendages, soaking almost through your clothing with wet saliva, it's maw greedy. Finally, your head pushed through to the stomach, making a painful squeeze through. "Oh," you flinch as you just about pop through, scrunching up your face. It was a terrible smell already, and faintly you spotted acid way down at the bottom. Just waiting for you. But you seemed to stop, feeling the creature bend over and touch the ground. It was coughing-- It was choking on you! Yes!
"That's it, you son of a bitch, choke on me!" You hissed through your teeth, weakly punching at the stomach walls, kicking your feet outside with what little strength you had left. In a strange act of muscle and skill, you were able to curl your legs in a certain way so it couldn't get a straight angle of a gulp on you. You continued this for almost a minute until you tired out. it was still coughing, and seemed to actually almost pull you back out an inch, but you made the mistake of stopping. "Spit me out!" you exclaim from the depths, only to feel the paws of the beast once again at you, pushing you back down.
"No! No, please!" you cry, trying anything you could. But before anything happened, you felt the tongue at your heels, and the maw closed. That was the official seal to your fate. You whimpered as the beast picked it's self up, sighing and rumbling with excessive joy and love in your taste. It only took a few gulps and pushes from the wet tongue to set the last part of you into the stomach. Slowly you felt yourself empty out into the stomach, which slowly and gently extended to accommodate you. The beast's paws seemed to just become attracted to it's bigger belly and warm meal sitting in it's stomach.
The Zangoose sighed contently, enjoying the new, random stranger in it's belly. It was nice of you to give it a space to sleep for the night while it's acids worked on you, and extra food for the morning. Master will be back before it knew it, and he reassured himself, squirming in the tent as it's own bulge squirmed back. Such a good meal, you made, and what even better pudge you could make.

I did something a little bit different this time with a different point of view, and more story!
This story is an informal continuation of the last one (A Battle Lost), but is by all means to be considered a different story on it's own.
Tell me what you think, go into my gallery and read and review both stories, tell me if you prefer that last approach (Third person) or you like this kind (Second person). I really like to make these kind of stories, although this one might have been a little bit longer than normal! No problem, it was a little bit more story-oriented, I'm sure a lot of you have no problem with that.
Go ahead and tell me what you think about it in the comments below! If you happen to have any requests, I'll accept them on my profile page. Thank you for reading!

Well, in a way, it wasn't exactly there when it's master was *ahem* "taken away", so thus, it doesn't really know that he won't come back. In it's eyes, this random stranger came along and said that his master won't be seeing him away. Kind of the same thing as a random stranger coming along and saying your parents won't be coming back from their trip to wherever.
If it's all too far fetched to believe, you could always think of this as a separate story! Maybe it /wasn't/ the Zangoose from the last story? A bit of a statement to make, but yea. Really, it's just all coming up from the top of my head, there might be a lot of inconsistencies with the story. Sorry if you didn't like it! I was simply trying out something different.
