I was once voted "artist least likely to fursuit" but that does not mean I can not dip my hands into a bit of wearable soft sculpture. So here it is, my first go at building a fursuit head. I was trying to use some things I already had on hand such as the foam and fur (which were the main reasons it is a rabbit) and just sort of felt my way through the project. Not shown are the hands currently being made to go with the head.
Some features: The lower jaw is built as a separate piece as I haven't figured out how to attach it and still get in and out of the head. The neck is held in place with "hook & eye" closures. There is a fan in the base of each ear to blow out hot air, but I'm not sure how much they help as it is still stuffy and the eyes fog up when it is first put on. The view seems very restrictive to me not being a suiter but those who are say it isn't bad despite not being able to see the ground.
It will be at my table at Califur for examination, or even purchase.
It may have time for a few adjustments before then so I would love to hear comments and suggestions.
