So much to say about this pic it's hard to tell where to start....This is Syan, and he belongs to the artist of the same name. I decided to do this for her 'cause a) she seems like a perfectly lovely girl b) her birthday is coming up soon and c) everything else I've tried to draw in the last few days got just a bit past the line art stage before it just sorta...dies...-_-.
I ended up taking a lot of liberties with this one... The only ref she has of him is from the neck up and nekid, so I was just flyin' by the seat of my pants for his clothing (I think I have a thing for that shade of red...) as for the other liberties I took there's no excuse except that they seemed like a good idea at the time. XD The fur's too long, his eyes are too dark, the mark on his face is on the wrong side and his face is much more animalistic than she has him. And don't bother asking about the clouds. I really couldn't explain past that it was about 3 in the morning when I finished this and, again, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
So....here's to hoping she doesn't hate it. XD

I think you did an awesome job. ;3 And the clothes look awesome. Nice to see Syan in more than just dark red and black. A little color accents him well.
As for your liberties, I always enjoy seeing my characters however the artist wants to draw them. It's totally cool to see him with a more animal-istic face! *__* Mistakes are bound to happen, but I don't mind at all. ;3 I think you did a wonderful job with it. ^__^

*hueg sigh of relief* I'm really glad you liked it. Never done something quite like this before and I was freaking myself out over breaking all sorts of rules to doing these things that, naturally, everybody but me knows about. -_- . Anyways, you're welcome and happy early birthday! XD
I am such a sucker for clothing like that, and I really dig the swirling pattern you drew into the vest. Poet sleeves <3 Again with the awesome hair, and I really like the way you shade fur because it accentuates the planes of the face really well.
I love the slant of his eye, how he's looking at the viewer. Nice job on the slit pupil, too, that's really hard to do sometimes.
We've got to stop doing art at 3 and 4 AM. xD I've been doing that lately, too.
Side note, have your allergies been going haywire too? My eyes, they burn. ;_;

You give the best reviews. Srsly. It may be at least half the reason I'm friends with you...with Gambit and SuperMario RPG making up the other half. XD.
And your right. These unwholesome hours we keep cannot be good for us. No my allergies haven't been bothering me. My body punishes me in different ways when I do things like that. Ways which are best not discussed on a public forum. ><
