Entry 201-1:
The Tactical Directorate analysts as well as Internal Security & Corrections are altogether too enamoured with Project Cutthroat. I've had conversations with both R&D and Logistics Analysis and there are plenty of people willing to back me up here. It's well known that the Cutthroat units are perfectly responsive even under undue stresses - being forced to do preprogrammed workout routines too regularly during mission downtime, and forcing their bodies to perform far beyond their normal limits without virtually any form of modification. I can't recall the last time I actually saw a field unit resting.
While Cutthroat units are virtually all immaculately effective in combat situations and display no outward effects due to the high-impact nature of most of their missions - due to the extent of their implants - it's concurred by those in R&D and the LAD that the suppressed psyche of the unit likely still experiences the full brunt of the pain brought on by near-nonstop action. Logistics has concerns that due to this, damage incurred during missions requires far too long a recovery period. However, requests for rest periods or more frequent checkups have been vetoed by both the TD and the ISCD, as per Internal Order 3031-A.
When I personally raised the concern of undue pain inflicted on Cutthroat units to Colonel [REDACTED] of Special Operations, this prompted an outburst to the extent of 'That's the fucking point' and that I needed to 'check my naive girl-scout ethics at the door'. Requests to have Colonel [REDACTED] cited for unprofessional language have so far been thoroughly ignored.
