Browsing around the area was a bit of a disappointment. Unlike in Magdeburg where the hotel was in the middle of a busy lively town, this Estrel is right at the edge of Berlin and there's hardly any shops or restaurants or even a park nearby - just residential and industrial areas :/
Yeah, i noticed that too when i checked out the location on the map after the announcement last year. the closest place i could find that looks interesting is the "Neukölln Arcaden" mall about a 10 minute bus ride away from the convention center. But public transport tickets are kinda expensive too, so meh.
