For those that do not know.....our dog of 11 years, Shadow, passed away today.
I don't really have any recent pictures of him, but here's the next best thing. It's just something I feel I had to do.
We got Shadow when my little brother was 3. We got him, brought him home, and it just went from there. Shadow basically become my little brother's dog just like how our other Black Lab Shyly, who passed away about 5 years ago, became my dog when I was 3. Him and Shadow would usually play in the back yard just off the concrete patio.....and that's where he took his last breath. It's gonna be even more harder since Shadow 9 times out of 10 would sleep in our room between our beds whenever he came inside for the night. Now it's gonna feel a little more....empty with him gone.

I can relate the pain this causes. It's sharp and blunt at the same time as sadness seeps in and bursts forth. All the love and care and affection we put into our furred family members, make us feel this way. The more love, the more it hurts but it reminds us and never lets us forget our companions. The physical presence may be gone, but Shadow lives on in our memories and in each of our thoughts and feelings. You have my humblest condolences and may Shadow and all the wonderful memories, joys, and feelings of peace brought forth by Shadow, rest in peace.
