I don't think she likes you. >__>

This is a portrait commission for silverfish (on FlightRising)! It's her dragon character, Fiolet, in all her irritable glory.

I've been working on this picture for what seems like forever. The scales took me a lot longer than expected, but the extra time was worth it. I certainly learned a lot about organized, snake-like scales while I was working on this picture - and I think I finally understand how they lay on the body! 8D

I wasn't sure if the contrast was okay on this picture, so I spent more time on it than I would have liked as well. Looking back on my artwork, I tend to overdo my shadows and use too much black in my pictures. It was hard to break that habit here, but I hope there's some visible improvement!

And if you're interested, the white markings on her body are paint - not actual scale colors. I tried to give them a paint-like look when I was painting them.

Special thanks to wolf-nymph for helping me out with Fiolet's expression! Eski gave me the perfect advice for her annoyed look.
