So I started in on this yarn tail craze, and I'm liking what I'm seeing. Decided to make a lynx tail for Cyndal.
The top picture shows the difference between brushing AND using a flat iron (left side) versus just brushing out (right side). I never realized how much of a difference the flat iron makes. I have a Revlon one that goes up to 25, so I used it at 10. I didn't want to burn or melt the yarn. It's so soft!
I also didn't realize how much waste you get compared to the finished brushed out bits. I have a plastic shopping bag full of waste yarn, which I think would be perfect stuffing for a plushie. So yay for recycling!
