For the majority of my “time” as a furry, I’ve identified as some manner of wolf. Nowadays, I go with a wolf-dog mutt, rather than a pure of either side, because I feel that reflects me a bit better, and I’d rather try to carve out something a little more unique while still operating within “reality”.
I've met huskies and other domestic dogs I've identified with before, but I can't remember the last time I had seen actual wolves. So imagine how my heart fluttered seeing actual Arctic Wolves when I was at this 260 year old zoo in Austria. I dunno...even in a zoo, it made part of me soar to see the creatures I've identified with for so long. I felt a little more...complete after it.
