I'm not too sure how to explain the brush I use. It's a regular hard PS brush, but with the scattering option on. http://i385.photobucket.com/albums/.....ps0e3cbd68.jpg
Then I just layered lots of red, oranges and yellows with varying opacity or flow.
I hope that wasn't too confusing! :'D
And I thought i'd mention that if you lower the scattering it makes really awesome pencil imitation lines. c:
