Ven paced impatiently around the house. He had waited all afternoon for his master Amaru to come home. She didn't say much as to what she was doing, just that she was going shopping. His heart skipped a beat when he heard the door unlock and slowly open. Amaru came in, carrying several shopping bags. The giant sergal came bounding to the front door and knocked his master off her feet. The startled wolf-otter giggled. "alright, alright Ven! That's enough!" Ven apologized, then slinked off of her and sat down. Amaru grinned "Guess what? I have a present for you!" Ven jumped up and wagged his great thumping tail "Oh boy! What is it! What is it!" He secretly hoped that it was a yummy treat. Amaru reached into a small pink bag with sea-foam green tissue paper. Ven's eyes widened: it was a purple collar. Around it was a shiny brass tag inscribed with his name: Ven. Amaru knelt down to fasten it around his neck. It fit him snugly. He could feel it press against the fur on his neck and chest. He walked around in a circle, attempting to see it better. It made a melodic jingling sound as he moved. Ven was speechless. He'd never had a collar before. Amaru placed one webbed paw on her hip. "So?" she asked, lifting one ear. "What do you think?" Ven continued to stare at the purple collar. He paused, and finally responded. "I....... LOVE IT!!!" He bounded around the house, his tail swishing around and threatening to knock the furniture over. The collar continued to make that wonderful jingling noise. Amaru smiled "now there will be no doubt that you have a home, right here with me!" Ven flashed himself a toothy grin. He knew it was true.

This is pretty cute, I like the "Whaatt?" face he's got, but then the little story sums up the expression perfectly. Nice work, and I didn't catch any glaring spelling or grammatical errors int he written portion. Id be interested to see more writing come from you though, there's not enough writing counterbalancing the art on FA in my opinion.
