EDIT #2 - The updated sample PDF/EPUBs now include the Prologue, nine chapters, and half of Chapter 10. This will be the final update until after the second copy-edit is done.

EDIT - The PDF and the e-book formats now include the Prologue and Chapters 1-7, and I've included formats for the Kindle Fire and the iPad.

Since I did not update my page concerning what happened with my editor last month, I'll detail it here before explaining this submission.

Right after my last journal entry about getting my copy-edited draft back, my editor's work PC was hit with a virus. In turn, she lost about a third of the editing progress for my draft, and her other clients at the time also were affected.

I've since gotten the edited draft back and have been working hard on it for almost a week, although there was more red ink than I thought. About 30-35% of it was marked for deletion, but my editor did give me some great notes about where to improve the wording to help with the action and tension.

From looking over the draft she sent back to me, this may be the final edit I do before giving it back to her for a proofread check. If I change enough prose and dialogue between this new version and the one posted here however, that may change.

Because of the virus setback, I have to push publication back a few months, but my A-KON advertising plan is still on. Once the con is over, I may have a live action shot of a scene from Werewolf Tale to show off.

For now, along with this updated sample of the first few chapters in PDF form, I'm also offering the sample as an e-book file in E-PUB format. The file was set up using the Nook HD+ as a template, but if you're using a reader that takes a different file type than E-PUB, let me know. I'll add those formats in another link in this submission and use them officially when the book is published.
