Oh, and yes, I totally did use Ash for an inspiration :b

Yeah, I think so, although with such a stylized design it can sometimes be hard to tell! But yeah, real bobcat tails don't get much longer than this: http://www.wild-life-rehab.com/Educ.....ult_Bobcat.jpg
Thanks! I actually always wanted to have my gryphon character designed like this - big, big bird of prey talons, but I thought, "They'd get dull real quick if you walked around on them, so why not have them walk on their knuckles? That way the claws aren't dulled, and can in fact grow even larger >:D"
All you did by leaving out the saber canines is add room for a Dire Congar (that just sounds terrifying) to be included at a later date.
I'm happy they gave you this sort of freedom and openness for creativity, Jocarra. :)
I'm also honored you though of me, that's quite a privilege - hah.

Haha, ah yes. Dire X - X, but bigger, meaner, and with more things to stab, pierce, slash, or otherwise destroy you with :3
Well, most of the concepts I'm given are pretty simple/basic. Usually either "XY" (werewolf bat, gorilla cat, owl lion, etc.) or "See these references? Put them together into one creature!" so while some details are from the developers, many of them are my own. And yeah, they seem pretty happy with me going in my own direction usually.

Or cuddle you to death with - if you're lucky, that is. :3
I see, well, so far you've created some pretty fantastic creatures, and I find them interesting seeing as they're much more truly mythological rather than them exploring every possible same idea but taking just another step with it (*coughWizardsoftheCoastcough*). If they permit, I'd love to see what your own beasties are without their requests as well. I'm sure there's plenty of inspiration in your ideas yet!

Haha, well, that's actually a little more exhausting, getting me to make entirely my own. Part of my work is that I'm almost always told what to do, or at least given inspiration - if I'm just told "Make something up" I usually at a loss. Make up what? What's its purpose? What's its theme? What are you looking for in it? o_O TELL ME
*chuckles* This isn't exclusively a furry game, just another aspiring D&D, haha. Unfortunately there isn't too much to tell at the moment, as the game has only recently started development (2-3 months in so far, and approx 1 month's worth of art), but here's a bit of what I know so far:
ETA is roughly a minimum of 1-2 years, so a while to go still. It will be similar in design to Dungeons & Dragons/Pathfinder, I believe, although it will be a d10 system, not d20, and the developers are hoping to create a streamlined system in which it's fast and easy to create characters, and run spontaneous, on the spot campaigns/sessions - something fast and easy for anyone to pick up and play immediately, not just experienced PnPers. I also think they're hoping to have less dice-rolling and less punishing random chance than D&D, as they felt too much randomness punishes players.
As for the world/flavour, the developers want to break out from the standard "human, elf, dwarf, halfing, orc, etc." fantasy races, and create unique ones for players to explore, and intend to offer a wide variety of campaign settings.
Keep in mind it's REALLY early in development, and ideas are prone to change! I'll link to a website as soon as it's made :)

Aye, well, neither is Shard. XD you know how furries are, we all tend to gravitate towards things. I go to a gaming convention every year mostly because it's close to me (Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio) and Shard used to be there, they still have a vendor sell their stuff, but they actually attend AnthroCon now because the market is better! :P
Sounds great though. I've never truly been fond of DnD, pathfinder I like more, but not by a super large amount. I like the d10s, I'll play with almost anything though as long as it's a good game. Fast character gen would be great though. While I love crafting characters, for players that want a quick one shot it makes things hard and often relies on me premaking characters that wont get much of a stage before they're finished and may never be seen again. Same goes for mechanics, even as a GM for Shard I don't know all the mechanics to it super well, some not at all because our campaigns have never used them.
I love the breaking out of the "fantasy trope" races! can't wait to see what you've all got going on! Early development is cool.
Actually in fact, I've helped beta test a few PnP games and a few of my old profs are actually networked as beta testing GMs for new games too. If you guys would like any help in testing things or opinions on design, let me know! I'd be glad to lend a hand or tell you how to reach the other guys that are even better than I! :D

Awww. you're doing awesome artwork concepts for them. You're part of the dev. team in my eyes still. I understand the close knit thing. I certainly wouldn't want to impose on that and it sounds like they've got a while before they'll actually need help testing things. But yeah, definitely willing to help when they need it be that for just outside opinions or help crashing through the system and seeing what works and what doesn't. I'd look forward to it and I'm sure my fellows I mentioned prior would too!
until then, I wish you all the best of luck as you go about building it :D

Heh, thanks! Bigger/better version of it here, if you're interested :b http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7411319/
That's awesome. It reminds me of a Chalicotherium. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb.....icotherium.jpg
