Tiny by name but not by nature! Until the 1890s, the Great Western Railway boasted a broad gauge (7ft 0.25in) network. Sadly, none of the original broad gauge locos, once employed by the GWR, survive except for this one, 'Tiny'. 'Tiny', as you can see, is a vertical-boilered locomotive which was built for the original South Devon Railway before it was taken over by the GWR in 1876.
