Thanks for commenting. What you wrote is kind of what I'm going for, but I'm probably going to go at it a bit differently. You see this child is from a different world and she can no longer return to her parents. How will the people of this new world react to her presence. Will they accept her or fear her. Only my impatient story telling skills and time will tell, but I will definitely make this story as good as I can.
I didn't intend the story to be a reflection of my life, I'm doing just fine. The sentiment is nice though thanks. By the way I have asperger's syndrome as well and I can sympathize with what you are saying. Although it was hard to integrate into society I just kept pushing and eventually I got over the majority of the quirks that came with asperger's syndrome.
