We stumbled upon this once-highly-fluid flow by pure chance.
This type of lava formation is classified as "Pāhoehoe" ( a Hawaiian term, meaning smooth, unbroken lava). It is a VERY rare form of lava to find in the Mojave, so it was a windfall that my sister and I happened to spot it.
Judging by the fact that there was no garbage of footprints in the immediate vicinity, we may have been the first people to ever see it!
