This is Silent Quill, the undisputed ‘stranger’ of his little clique of friends. He’s quiet, usually doesn’t converse with the others unless he needs to, and is a little bit of a loner. He stays at home most of the time, a residence which few have the privilege of entering.
He’s a medium-time author; he’s not written any super-bestsellers, but he’s successful enough to live comfortably. His foalhood was what could be called perfectly normal –considering that he’s friends with Holly Seams and the rest of her gaggle of odd companions, such a statement is a bit of a stretch. He earned his cutie mark when he wrote his first novel, barely fifty pages long, at the raw age of nine, something he wrote simply to have something to do between schoolwork and the time he spent mingling with his friends, earning himself his first thousand Bits.
Quill, as he often prefers to be called, spends every Thursday with Phony Paige at his house, generally just conversing between one another over the week that had passed between meetings or Quill giving her extra help in settling into her life in Trottingham. Out of all of his friends, he seems to get along with Holly Seams the best, somehow able to tolerate her bubbly and sometimes unpredictable behaviour. He also gets along with Snowy Doublescoop rather well –though not as well as Saddle Blaze for reasons that the pair refuse to talk about- and is the only one of the group beside Doublescoop himself to eat the painful frozen treat that the Earth Pony makes willingly.
He’s not the friendliest of ponies to meet, but he’s certainly one of the better ponies to befriend as he’s as loyal and helpful as they come. Maybe not as loyal as the Element of Loyalty Rainbow Dash herself, but then he’s also thankful that he’s not one of Pinkie Pie’s ‘bestest best friends forever’.
One nutter is bad enough.
*Silent Quill is the pony that I consider to be myself within that universe. There are, of course, qualities that I wish I could have in him; but I also understand how Mary/Marty Sues are made and seen, and he DOES have his own personality and mannerisms. His skill as an author is his own, as I’m nowhere near good enough to consider myself capable of publishing any of my works, though he does get his loner nature from my own. Some stories that I write and post upon FimFiction will be stories that he published and will be often referenced.
He, also, will be co-authoring some of the stories which Model Slip wrote, aiding him in editing and making them more readable; these also shall be eventually posted on FimFiction and referenced.*
