An eagle of sub-Saharan Africa and the only member of the genus Polemaetus, the Martial Eagle is a likely naturally scarce eagle due to it’s need for large territories which can be more than 1,000 square kilometres in size. Under threat due to collisions with power lines, they also are targeted by farmers, though their diet only includes livestock occasionally.
