Wow, that is quite a sight. Then again I'm more...hrm...not exactly country but not exactly city...what's the word...suburban?...so I don't really see them all that often. They love wondering out at night though so I have to be careful where I drive.

I have to be careful every time I go to town or come home, day or night. They just wander around and if they see you coming they just can't seem to resist trying to run across the road right in front of you for some reason.

It's like they're trying to cause an accident...

Too dumb for that. They just have some kind of idiot thing about being where they want to be no matter what.

Just go slow is my advice. I almost hit a bear cub (yearling actually...maybe 50 pounds worth) who ran across the road in front of me in Sequoia a couple of years ago on my Triumph. Had to brake and dodge. Would NOT have been fun even though I was only going about 20. Especially since mama was a couple of seconds behind him. Imagine me and the bike down and the cub squalling as mama came out of the bushes. *shudders*

...*shiver*No more Liane. And yeah, going slow is some good advice.
