Nature's guardians come in all sizes.

This was developed from the sketchy leaf dragon on my recent page of scribbles. Painted in Krita, minor post processing in Photoshop. Prints of this are available for $25 + postage, poke me if interested.

So instead, I made it my desktop wallpaper. Green feels more summer-like than the kellashee flying above white clouds and snow :o
Eo, now I need a spring and autumn themed wallpaper too :P

Thankyou! As I get more used to Krita's UI and brushes, I find I have to worry less about the process overall which gives me time/energy to start paying more attention to the rest :)

It's gorgeous and your work is fantastic! Somehow, though, the little dragon seems to stand out from the background as if it's emphasized, though... Like, maybe the dragon is more sharply defined than it and catches the eye. I dunno, it's been a long week, BRAIN NO WURK GUD.

That was the idea.. to create a focal point right there using depth of field as though it's in a movie or such :)

Ah, okay... I was just thinking the branch the critter was on should have about the same level of sharpness so it doesn't look like it was "placed" into the picture. But anyway, it's a gorgeous picture, and I really love the natural elements in the dragon's form. :3

Ahh, ok I see what you mean. Thanks! I'll probably revise this a little as things like this come to my attention. I plan to offer prints of it so I want it to look right.

I can see what she means, but I thought it was an intentional distinction between the focus of character and BG.. maybe just a little extra detail in a patch around the character would balance it out? Still.. it's so detail rich already that I'd be hesitant to do any more, if I were trying to draw it that way, haha
