The mane 6 entered the castle, and went to the throne room, but something was wrong. It was quiet…..really quiet.
Twilight and her friends walked into the canterlot palace.

Rainbow dash: um…twilight, why are we here?

Twilight sighed angrily.

Twilight: for the last time rainbow, princess celestia sent me a letter saying she wanted us to come at once.

The mane 6 looked around.

Twilight: hello?

Suddenly the doors slammed behind them, making fluttershy squeal.

Suddenly, the whole room became filled with royal guards, carrying spears. The guards all surrounding the 6 ponies, and pointing their spears at them.

Rainbow dash he-hey! Whats the big idea!?

Twilight: what is going on!? I command all of you to stand down! Now!

But the guards did not. Twilight looked around…something was not right.

Then suddenly, a new voice was heard. A dark, deep, sinister voice.

???: mwahaha…oh, I’m so sorry for my method of inviting you all here….

The guards all subsided as a new pony entered the room.

And twilight and her friends all gasped as they saw who stood at before them. Twilight couldn’t belive it first…..it had to be some kind of trick but…. There he stood. A pony twilight thought long gone

Twilight: king sombra?

Sombra nodded, not taking his eyes of the six ponies, smirking at their faces.

Sombra had a dark gray coat with a black spiky mane and tail. Unlike regular unicorn horns, which match the pony's coat color, and are straight and segmented, Sombra horn was curved, smooth, sharp at the tip and it gradients from dark gray to red. He had sharp teeth with two visible fangs unlike other ponies, and red irises, but most often his otherwise white eyes appear green and hade a purple mist emanating from them. He wore silver armor on his legs and neck, a crown with horn-like points on his head, and a red cape that covers his flank.

Twilight: but….how- what are.

Sombra laughed.

King sombra: did you really think you could beat me? ME!? THE MOST FEARED RULER OF THE CRYSTAL KINGDOM!!?

Sombra’s yelled caused even rainbow to gulp loudly. But then sombra returned to the smug grin.

King sombra: but not this time….this time I shall take over not only all of the crystal empire… but all of equistra as well! And no one shall stop me!!

Twilight felt a sick feeling in her stomach. She looked desperately around. The guards blocked the entrance, and king sombra too blocked their path.

King sombra turned to two of the guards.

King sombra: bring the other prisoners! It is time I fulfilled my destiny!

The two guards exited the room, while sombra returned his attention to the ponies, specificly twilight

Twilight: you won’t get away with this. There’s no way the ponies of equistra would ever obey a pony like you….

King sombra slammed his hoof down, cutting twilight off. He glared at her.

king sombra: your right princess...if only i had something that would ensure my victory....something like....this!?

king sombra charged his magic, and there was a flash, and when twilight and her friends looked at sombra, they saw he now had an amulet around his neck.
the amulet was golden and with a green crystal on the center.

twilight looked at the amulet, confused. it looked so familiar.

king sombra: miss twilight....i’ve been told you love history. what do you know about this amulet? the amulet of.....

he looked at twilight with a evil grin before finishing his sentence.

king sombra: Ankara?

twilight gasped. now she knew why it looked familiar.

applejack: Twi, what is it? is it bad?

twilight: oh...no! nono nono! this is more than bad! this is very...very...very....VERY.....bad!

sombra smiled.

twilight: Ankara was a unicorn prince of a far away kingdom a long time ago....before even princess celestia and luna were born. he was good ruler....but no pony knew how he died....and when he did...he left his son an amulet, which he had enchanted to give the pony who wears it...any....three....wishes!

all the other ponies gasped and king sombra laughed.

king sombra: that’s right. and after he had used it he locked it away in hopes no other pony would find it. but...you never know what you will find when you have slaves digging in the mines.

twilight growled and opened her mouth to speak, but she was cut off by another voice, which she instantly recognized.

shinning armor: let go of us!

twilight and her friends saw the guards reenter, dragging princess celestia, luna, twilights sister in law cadence, and her brother shinning armor. the guards threw the three rulers and their x captain down. shinning armor looked at them while twilight and and hugged cadence.

shinning armor: how dare you! what is the meaning of this....

shinning then saw the grey unicorn before him.

shinning armor: king sombra!

cadence, luna and celestia all looked at the evil unicorn with a mixture of surprise and hate. Cadence looked at the guards.

cadence: he's hypnotized our palace guards!
twilight: i’m afraid we’ve got even bigger problems than the palace guards!

princess celestia looked at her.

celestia: what do you mean?

king sombra chuckled and looked down at celestia and the others.

king sombra: every pony who has three wishes coming to them...raise their hoof.

sombra raised his hoof with a smug grin on his face.

king sombra: oops, looks like its only me! now then....amulet!

the amulet glowed, responding to its masters voice.
king sombra: My first wish...is to rule all of this country...make me the king of all of equistra!

the amulet glowed brightly, and celestia, luna, cadence, and twilight all groaned, and collapsed to their knees, as they suddenly felt like all their power had just been sucked out of them. the mane six ran and surrounded twilight, and her brother clutched Cadence. king sombra let out a happy sigh.

king sombra: ah..yes! so this is what it feels like to be ruler of all of equistra. i like it!

applejack: Twi! you OK?

twilight: i’m.....fine....applejack.

princess celestia: king sombra! i demand you stop this...or else you will have to face the consequences.

king sombra laughed.

king sombra: and who’s gonna make me celestia? I now rule your kingdom! and now you will bow before me!

princess luna looked up at sombra, and spoke for the first time.

luna: wretched creature! we shall never bow before thee! no matter what trickery thy try!

rainbow dash: yeah! i don’t care if you torture me, i will never bow to the likes of you sombra!

all the ponies shouted in agreement.

king sombra snarled at them, but then smiled wickedly, and slowly began to chuckle, before bursting into a sinister laughter that sent chills up her spine. king sombra turned his back on all the ponies. he closed his eyes, and sighed.

king sombra: so blunt and naive....you all have clearly not grasped the situation. but i will make you bow....one way or another.

sombra put a hoof to his chest.

king sombra: if you will not bow before a king....

he opened his eyes and turned to face the ponies,slamming his hoof down, making the stone floor crack, before shouting

king sombra: THEN YOU WILL COWER BEFORE THE MOST POWERFUL BEING IN THE UNIVERSE!! AMULET!

the amulet once again glowed.

king sombra: FOR MY SECOND WISH....I WISH TO BE THE MOST POWERFUL CREATURE...IN ALL OF THE UNIVERSE!!

celestia, luna, cadence, shinning armor, twilight and the mane six, all gasped.

twilight: NO!!

twilight rushed twords sombra, but it was too late, and twilight was nearly blinded as the amulet glowed brightly. king sombra’s body glowed a brightly lime green, he clutched his eyes shut, and then he opened them as he began laughing, and they were glowing bright green. the whole room seemed to go dark, causing fluttershy to cover her eyes. suddenly, purple lightning came from out of nowhere, and struck the tip of king sombra’s horn, and was seemingly absorbed by it. every pony slowly backed away from the evil unicorn, and twilight gasped as king sombra, laughing in triumph, suddenly grew three times his normal size, growing as tall as celestia!

king sombra: YES!! THE POWER! I FEEL IT!

king sombra’s horn began to charge up, and suddenly blasted the ceiling, and suddenly the whole room turned black, and black crystals began forming everywhere, causing the princesses and the ponies to dodge the spiky crystals. king sombra turned the whole palace into a nightmarish crystal fortress, king sombra then turned his attention to the ponies.
king sombra: now then....where was i? oh...yes, i do belive....YOU WERE BOWING!!

king sombra’s horn charged up, and he suddenly he blasted luna, celestia and cadence, and twilights friends, making their knees drop in a bowing position. shinning armor and twilight managed to cast shield spells, but the were instantly broken when hit by sombra powerful magic. twilight looked up at sombra, but suddenly she felt herself being pulled, as if by an invisible hand (or hoof), and before she knew it, she was pressed against sombra, who wrapped his hoof around her neck.

king sombra: tell me....how do like you ruler now, my lovely star? join me....and together we shall be unstoppable!

shinning armor instantly got up and faced sombra.

shinning armor: leave her alone!

shinning charged, but was blasted as sombra unleashed some lightning from his horn, making twilight scream as shinning collapsed to the ground, unresponsive, but alive.
twilight looked at sombra and raised her hoof, before smashing it into sombra’s face.

twilight: get off of me, you dirty creature!

sombra’s head merely moved little at twilights punch, but after he turned to her with a fury in his eyes, his horn glowed again, and crystals rose up and trapped twilights hoofs. twilight struggled, but to no avail, as her friends watched helplessly in a kneeling position.

king sombra: naughty, naughty, princess. you will join me, in due time, but for now....i think it is time i tested my full power! and all of you will be given a front row seat to the glorious occasion....but first....to turn myself into the king i should ahve been a long time ago!

king sombra slowly backed away from twilight, and his horn once again glowed, and so did he, as he began to grunt and groan, a vein throbbing in his head. then twilight gasped as sombra began to grow once more. every pony gasped, as sombra grew larger and larger. his tail and mane grew longer, his hooves thickened, and his chest grew out, which hinted he was also increasing his muscle mass as well. king sombra grew bigger and bigger, creaking, groaning, and growing noises coming form all over his body. king sombra grew and grew, until he was about as big as the room. then he looked down at twilight, and brought his face down to twilight, and she was small enough to fit in his mouth, though that was not what sombra had in mind. twilight could feel sombra’s hot breath wash over her as he spoke, his voice sounding like it was in surround sound.

king sombra: now then.... “little” princess, do you still doubt me? behold! your king of the entire world! hahahaha!

twilight looked up at sombra’s smug grin.
she had to find a way to stop him and save her friends.

but how?
