Eight years ago, I decided to create Nyxis as a virtual bat pet on Teripets.com.
When I asked
patto to draw her last weekend, I discovered that after all these years, Patto is actually the one who first made the bat species that Nyxis's looks are based on. It's really neat seeing how Nyxis's design has evolved through the years, and we all have Patto to thank for the lovely rose wing designs. She truly is Nyxis's fairy godmother! As for the meaning behind this image, Nyxis reminisces on her life. She has thus far lived several years past the expected time the crystal growth should have killed her. She wonders why it hasn't caught up to her yet, and when it will.
