I honestly think that the B17 was one of the most attractive aircraft ever made. Here are 2 views of "THE TEXAS RANGER" in flight.

The B-17 is certainly one of the most iconic American aircraft around - hard to not feel a bit awed by all those guns. And be impressed by how much abuse they could endure and still fly.

Agreed, a totally outstanding aircraft. In Palm springs I got a chance to tour one and the guide was a door gunner that had flown missions all over Europe. Great experience.

You would have loved it, he had some pretty hairy tales. Most of the few people he was showing the aircraft to had no idea what it was. He seemed glad that we were familliar with it but also knew about the aircrew and more famous missions.Guess we spent an hour chatting him up.

OH GEZ...you had to ask...it was 6 or more years ago. I really dont remember. I know he flew a lot of missios to the Ruhr and Berlin. One thing I do recall was that he saw a ME 262.

It didnt engage his aircraft, it just flew past the formation on its way out of Germany. (he thought it must have been out of ammunition) I immagine seeing one whiz past from a waist gunners position was pretty impressive. (he said it was a beautiful plane BTW)

That's what WWII airplane nose art needed! Not pin ups but sexy furries. A good distraction when the 109's or Zeroes come buzzing in.

You're welcome to pop the other couple up in your gallery if you wish, I'd just mark them as 3-dimensional or CGI something or other. They can be left in your scraps no problem though, just get less exposure that way XD

Thanks for the fave Human, sadly, this art was done by a friend of mine, I have not had the time to play the game yet and it will be sometime in 2015 before I can get to it because of insanely busy commitments. I really liik forwatd to being able to try it out though.
